BEIJING: The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has been the largest trading partner of Chins for four consecutive years, according to the General Administration of Customs (GAC) of China.

According to a report by China Central Television, the most recent data from the GAC indicates that trade between China and ASEAN has consistently displayed a positive growth trajectory in 2023. It is noteworthy that since 2020, China and ASEAN have emerged as each other’s principal trading partner.

As of 2023, the trade volume between China and ASEAN increased by 16.8 times in 20 years, and the cumulative two-way investment exceeds 380 billion U.S. dollars.
