Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour met Under-Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Jens Brandenburg and his accompanying delegation to discuss ways to support cooperation between the two sides in the scientific, educational and research fields, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister stressed the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Germany in the fields of higher education and scientific research, praising the distinguished scientific cooperation between Egypt and Germany, whether in joint programs for higher studies, scholarships and scientific exchange.
Ashour pointed out that Egypt is characterized by the diversity of universities, as it includes public, private and private universities and branches of foreign universities in addition to institutes and academies.
He also pointed to the interest of the Egyptian state in the file of establishing branches of internationally prestigious foreign universities in Egypt.
