GAZA: At least seven civilians today were killed and about 14 medical staff and displaced persons were wounded by occupation sniper fire in the vicinity of the Nasser Medical Complex, in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that the staff, patients, and displaced people in the Nasser complex had ran out of food, and that the suspended ceilings in the accommodation and operations departments fell as a result of the ongoing Israeli shelling and constant shooting.

Sewage water flooded the emergency department and hampered the work of the crews at Nasser medical complex, which has been under a strict Israeli military siege for 22nd day.

Meanwhile, at least 67 people were transferred to hospitals after Israeli occupation forces carried out series of airstrikes targeting the densely overcrowded southern Gaza city of Rafah, killing and injuring hundreds of civilians, including a significant number of children and women.

Sources added that the process of recovering the bodies,
trapped under the rubble, is still continuing.

Medical sources warned that medical teams were unable to move between the complex’s buildings due to the constant shooting by occupation snipers, putting at risk the lives of 300 health personnel, 450 sick and wounded people, and 10,000 displaced people inside the complex.

The medical and humanitarian conditions in Rafah is extremely catastrophic, and that the number of people killed in the Israeli brutal shelling on Rafah last night is greater than the capacity of hospitals, medical sources added.

Medical sources also highlighted that doctors are treating wounded individuals on the ground due to weak health infrastructure and the ongoing Israeli bombing that targeted several homes and mosques, which worsen the situation.

Medical sources warned of the consequences regarding Israeli’s intention to carry out a ground offensive in the city of Rafah.

Occupation army snipers also occupied several homes surrounding the complex and opened heavy gunfire on its court
yards.

The occupation army has been carrying out a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling on Khan Yunis and in the vicinity of the hospitals.

Israeli tanks and military vehicles aslo carried out a ground offensive in the southern and western areas of the city, forcing thousands of Palestinians to flee for fear of being killed or injured.

14 hospitals out of 36 in Gaza are partially operating, including nine hospitals in the south and six in the north, according to medical sources.

In a preliminary toll, the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has resulted in the murder of over 28,176 individuals, the majority of whom are innocent civilians, and over 68,000 injuries.
