Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas said boosting vistas of cooperation with African brothers in different air transport fields is topping priorities of the ministry in order to scale up the Egyptian presence in the African continent.

During a meeting with Sierra Leonean Ambassador in Cairo Sadiq Silla and his accompanying delegation at the ministry’s HQ Thursday 8/12/2022, Abbas underscored the importance of developing bilateral relations in all civil aviation activities.

The minister commended fraternity relations and good cooperation between Egypt and Sierra Leone.

He said the ministry is keen on fostering cooperation ties and transferring Egyptian experiences to brothers in Sierra Leone.

Abbas said that the ministry is very interested in tapping new promising markets in aviation serving the joint interests of the two countries.

For his part, Silla said the meeting reflects Egypt’s greater interest in fostering cooperation with African countries.

He hailed comprehensive development and renaissance on all fronts in Egypt, particularly in civil aviation sector.

The diplomat said Sierra Leone is looking forward to developing relations and capitalizing on Egyptian expertise in the different domains in general and air navigation in particular.
