Azhar University urges its students to swiftly register to get vaccinated

Deputy President of Azhar University Mahmoud Seddik urged its students to swiftly register to get vaccinated against coronavirus ahead of the start of the new academic year 2021/2022.

In a statement released on Monday, Seddik reiterated that vaccination is a key condition for students to join classes or get access to the university’s dormitory, noting that there is a close coordination among Azhar Sheikhdom under Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed El Tayyeb, Azhar University President Mohamed El Mahrasawy and Minister of Health Hala Zayed in this regard.

He made it clear that Zayed has issued instructions to open all youth centers nationwide for the vaccination campaigns to ease measures for the students to be jabbed ahead of the start of their academic classes.

Students who register for the vaccination via the Health Ministry website will receive a confirmation message during a period of 72 hours at most to head for a nearby center to get jabbed.

As many as 1,100 vaccination clinics and 270 youth centers have been allocated for the vaccination nationwide in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.
