Bahrain junior volleyball team is stepping up preparations for the West Asian Championship, scheduled to start on Friday and run until July 31 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The national squad concluded its training sessions, which were attended by Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) Vice Chairman Mohammed Al-Dhawadi, secretary-general Firas Al-Halwaji and other board members.

Bahrain was drawn in Group A, which includes also Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Iraq, while Group B features Qatar, Syria, Kuwait, Palestine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The national team will take Iraq on Friday at 1.30 PM in its first match of Group A.
