The Bahraini economy grew in 2022 on annual basis by 4.9 percent, the highest growth since 2013.

The ministry of finance said in a report that the positive outcome, in 2022, came as a result of overall the growth of the domestic non-oil sectors. By contrast, the oil sector declined by 1.4 percent.

Moreover, the non-oil sector posted the highest contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) reaching 83.1 percent, during 2022, due to successful economic diversification ventures.

The hotels’ sector posted the highest growth, 13.9 percent, followed by public services, 6.7 percent, real-estate and business services, 5.5 percent.

The manufacturing industries grew by 4.9 percent, while communication and transport grew by 4.5 percent.
