Baptist hospital, only functioning hospital in northern Gaza, stops operating after an Israeli raid

GAZA: The last functioning hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, has stopped operating following an Israeli forces’ raid into the hospital tonight.

The hospital’s administration said Israeli forces and military tanks cordoned off the hospital and detained several doctors, nurses, and patients from inside the hospital, causing it to stop operating.

The hospital can no longer receive any patients or wounded, said the administration, noting that dozens of bodies and wounded are scattered on the streets as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

At least four civilians succumbed to critical wounds they sustained yesterday as a result of Israeli shelling, it added.

On October 17, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike against the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, killing and injuring hundreds of people.

Sources said that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike against the hospital, where thousands of displaced people were also seeking re
fuge after their homes were destroyed in the ongoing Israeli shelling, killing and wounding hundreds of people.
