“Basmala” flies a plane after asking Sisi in Conference

A little burn survivor has flown on a dual-pilot plane along with a group of differently-abled people after she voiced her wish to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during a Sunday conference.

Little Basmala had asked Sisi live on air whether he could fly a plane, and he said he was in the Air Academy before he joined the Military Academy.

She then texted old him she dreams of flying a plane, so he asked Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaky to turn Basmala’s dream into a reality.

Less than 24 hours later, she visited the Egyptian Air Forces Museum and flew a plane from Almaza Military Airport, touring the skies of Cairo with a group of the attendees of the conference.

The conference, dedicated to differently-abled people, set a five-point strategy for them:

1 – Providing special programs and activities to people with determination by all sports and youth bodies. This is in order to improve their physical fitness and sports skills.

2 – Directing the government to work on empowering people of determination and integrating them in all national projects and initiatives.

3 – All implemented projects of ‘Decent Life’ Initiative will include services and special needs for people with determination.

4 – The state’s bodies were ordered to expand the training of teachers to be more skillful in dealing with people with determination and special capabilities.

5 – The artistic and cultural production sectors were ordered to produce dramatic and cultural works that highlight capabilities and creativity of people with determination.
