BERRI BROACHES LATEST DEVELOPMENTS WITH FRENCH AMBASSADOR, MEETS UK SHADOW FOREIGN SECRETARY, FORMER MINISTER ARIDI


House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Friday received at the Second Presidency in Ain El-Tineh, French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, with whom he discussed the latest political and field developments and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Speaker Berri also received at Ain El-Tineh, the Shadow Foreign Secretary of the opposition shadow government in the United Kingdom, David Lammy, in the presence of Lebanon’s Ambassador to Britain, Rami Mortada.

Discussions reportedly touched on the general situation and the latest political and field developments in Lebanon and the region as a result of Israel’s continued aggression against the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese border villages with the occupied Palestine.

On emerging, Lammy said that he looks forward to a political solution, implementation of Resolution 1701, and a permanent ceasefire in Gaza

Berri later received former Minister, Ghazi Al-Aridi, with whom he discussed the general situation and political developments.
