Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes posted collective gains at the close of Tuesday’s trading session, backed by strong purchases by local and Arab institutions and investment funds.
The market capital gained about EGP 1.3 billion to hit EGP 690 billion at closing, after transactions that totaled EGP 1.7 billion.
The EGX 30 benchmark index rose by 0.1 percent, registering 10,132.15 points.
The broader EGX 70 EWI index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) increased by 0.32 percent, closing at 2,216.58 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index was up 0.34 percent, ending at 3,174.36 points.
