SÃO PAULO: Brazil’s trade surplus set a new record in 2023, according to data released by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services.

According to the Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA), in 2023, the country exported US$339.7 billion and imported US$240.8 billion, with a surplus of US$98.8 billion.

The 2023 surplus was 60.6% higher than 2022’s – US$61.5 billion.
