Amman: British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind organized an ceremony on Wednesday to welcome Chevening Scholarships graduates who returned to Jordan from Britain.

The Chevening Scholarship is the UK’s leading scholarship programme, supporting future leaders by giving talented Jordanians the opportunity to enhance their skills and gain experience in areas vital to Jordan’s future.

The ambassador congratulated the recipients of this scholarship on their success in completing their scholarship under difficult circumstances during the Corvid-19 pandemic, and later the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“We are pleased to celebrate the success of Chevening Scholarship graduates for 2021 and 2022 who returned home after completing their studies in the United Kingdom, and developed their qualifications and skills in a variety of fields in world-class British universities under unprecedented circumstances in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.” the British Ambassador said

“I am pleased with their determination and resilience to achieve success,” Brind added, expressing her pride of Chevening Scholarships graduates as future leaders to achieve growth for Jordan in a wide range of fields, including development, climate change, entrepreneurship, politics, energy, gender equality, and many others.

“We look forward to continuing to support their career paths through our global network,” Brind stressed, noting that this scholarship qualifies graduates for advanced leadership in various posts.
