RAMALLAH: The Palestine Public Broadcasting Corporation has strongly condemned the hacking carried out by Israeli occupation forces today against the main broadcast of its Voice of Palestine radio on the FM frequency 100.1. The hacked broadcast included threatening messages directed at the people of Gaza, marking a new crime against Palestinian media.
In a statement released by the Corporation, it highlighted the severity of Israel’s hacking of the Palestinian media outlets and forcefully seizing their content to serve its aggressive war against the Palestinian people.
The Corporation emphasized that ‘this new crime is part of the all-out aggression waged by the occupation against all Palestinians. It is a continuation of the war on the official Palestinian media, evident in the execution of journalists and their families, such as the recent case of colleague Mohammed Abu Hatab, and the ongoing closure of the Corporation’s office in occupied Jerusalem, coupled with constant attacks on its field teams.’
The
Palestine Public Broadcasting Corporation said it ‘remains steadfast in fulfilling its mission to convey the voice and image of the Palestinian people to the world, regardless of the crimes committed by the occupation against our people. The Corporation asserts that such targeting only strengthens its determination to expose the occupation’s crimes to the entire world and hold it accountable.’
The Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to pursue legal action against this hacking through all relevant domestic and international channels.
