The Cabinet, under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, approved during its meeting Thursday 29/12/2022 allocating plots of land nationwide for the establishment of a number of projects in many sectors including renewable energy, water desalination, production of green hydrogen and ammonia, as well as industrial purposes.
The plots of land are located in the governorates of Red Sea, Marsa Matrouh, Dakahlia, Sohag, Aswan and Qena.
The decision came as part of Egypt’s keenness on diversifying energy sources and reinforcing its drive toward becoming a regional energy hub.
