Cabinet approves draft deal with EIB for upgrading railways

The Cabinet approved during its weekly meeting on Wednesday a draft presidential decree on an agreement between Egypt and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on a 221-million-euro financing for a project for upgrading the Tanta-Mansoura-Damietta railway at 119-kilometer length.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on a deal between Egypt and the EIB on a 78-million-euro financing for a project for sewage water treatment in Helwan.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on allocating a plot of state-owned lands at 2.24 feddans to the Giza governorate to establish handicraft and productive workshops.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on allocating a plot of state-owned lands at 10269.84 feddans to the New Urban Communities Authority to establish a new urban community named “New Gerga City”.
