Cabinet center: Hussein Mosque not affected by nearby fire

The cabinet media center denied reports that Cairo’s Hussein Mosque was affected by the fire that broke out in its vicinity.

In a statement on Wednesday, the center said it communicated with the Awqaf Ministry which dismissed the news as baseless.

The ministry stressed that the mosque’s buildings are safe, noting that the fire was put out without any damage or casualties.

The center called on social media users to verify the authenticity of the news circulated.
