Chief public prosecutor meets officials in France, Belgium

Chief Public Prosecutor Yousef Thiabat met with several justice sector officials in France and Belgium last week to strengthen cooperation in area of criminal justice. During his meeting with Francois Molins, Prosecutor of the French Court of Cassation, Thiabat underscored cooperation with France to fight terrorism, exchange experiences and training courses, and sign a memorandum of understanding to serve the interests of the two countries. The Jordanian delegation also met with specialists and anti-terrorism case investigators in the Belgian capital, Brussels. The delegation exchanged discussions with Belgian officials on the mechanisms used in investigating terrorism cases, stressing the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding between the two kingdoms to exchange experiences and hold training sessions in both countries.
