Cold weather prevails in Syria, frost and fog expected

Meteorological Department said that temperatures will remain from 2 to 4 degrees below average as the country is still affected by shallow low air pressure in the upper parts of the atmosphere

The skies will be partly cloudy in general, while the weather will be cloudy in the coastal and southwestern regions, and showers are expected over these regions, according to the Department’s Monday bulletin.

At night, the weather will be very chilly, and frost and fog are expected in most regions

The wind will be of changeable direction to southeasterly with a low speed, while at night it will be southwesterly with a moderate speed and some active gusts in the coastal and western region, and the sea waves will be low to a medium in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities, will be as follows: Damascus 10/2, Daraa 11/3, Homs 9/2, Hasaka 11/4, Tartous 14/9, Aleppo 8/1, Deir Ezzor 12/2
