Colombian Foreign Minister Alvaro Leyva demanded the Israeli ambassador in Bogota to “apologize and leave,” following his response to statements by President Gustavo Petro on the war between Israel and Hamas.Leyva said the envoy, Gali Dagan, should “at a minimum, apologize and leave” after criticizing Petro’s comparison of Israeli attacks on Gaza with the Nazi persecution of the Jews.Leyva lashed out on his X account at the “rudeness” of Israel’s ambassador to Colombia Gali Dagan’s response to Petro, adding: “Shame”, Euronews reported Monday.
