Commercial chambers of Cyprus and Cuba sign cooperation protocol

Cyprus’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Commercial Chamber of Cuba signed a cooperation protocol in an online meeting, according to a statement of CCCI, noting that this falls in its strategy for extroversion and strengthening of its bilateral commercial relations.

The protocol provides for the opening of economic sectors that will promote the connection between companies from Cyprus and Cuba, exchange of views and information regarding difficulties and opportunities presented in the domestic markets, as well as strengthening investment partnerships between the two countries.

The cooperation protocol was signed by the President of CCCI, Christodoulos Angastiniotis and on behalf of the Chamber of Cuba by its President, Antonio Luis Carricarte Corona. The Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, was also present at the online meeting.

“The two sides identified the prospects for Cyprus-Cuba cooperation, in the fields of tourism, biotechnology, renewable energy sources and in particular solar energy, maritime transport, agriculture and health services,” says CCCI.
