The Israeli occupation forces today demolished a Palestinian-owned commercial facility in the town of Deir Ballout, west of the northern West Bank city of Salfit, under the pretext it was built in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military rule. Deir Ballout mayor Samir Nimr told WAFA that the army brought a bulldozer to knock down the 350-square-meter facility that included a carpentry and an animal barn owned by a local resident. He said the soldiers fired live rounds as well as tear gas and stun grenades at youth who gathered to protest the demolition and assaulted two youths.
