Muscat, The main committee for establishment of Olympic shooting clubs today reviewed objectives, determinants and technical specifications needed to set up Olympic shooting clubs in Oman. It also studied scopes for organizing competitions under the auspices of the International Shooting Sport Federation.

The meeting, held at Al Shafaq Club of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, laid emphasis on preserving Oman’s cultural heritage and encouraging nationals to practice marksmanship.

The meeting was chaired by Maj. Gen. Mattar Salim Al Balushi, First Deputy Chairman of Oman Shooting Federation, Chairman of the Main Committee for the Establishment of Olympic Shooting Clubs in Oman.
