Daraa, SANA-competent authorities in Daraa thwarted on Thursday an attempt to smuggle quantities of drugs towards Jordanian territory, arrested the smugglers.
“as a result of the monitoring and investigation operations and the cooperation of the citizens, an attempt to smuggle more than 40 kilograms of dug was thwarted after a clash with the smugglers close to the Jordanian border,” A source in the competent authorities stated, noting that “the smugglers were arrested, and their weapons were confiscated”.
The source added that the competent authorities “are intensively pursuing their tasks to combat all forms of trafficking and drug smuggling of all kinds.”
