Completing of restoration works of the headquarter of “Beit Al-Safinah” Association in Damascus old city

Damascus, SANA-The headquarter of the “Beit Al-Safina” Association, which cares for people with intellectual disabilities, exposed ,in the years of the terrorist war on Syria, to a lot of damage due to shrapnel of terrorist shells, despite this, the association’s activities and interest in this category of people did not stop.

With participation of the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums and experts, the restoration works of “Beit Al-Safinah” in the old city of Damascus completed.

“During the visit of Mrs. Asma al-Assad last year to the “Beit al-Safina” exhibition, which is the product of the association’s workshops, briefed on the damage to the house, and the effects left by the fragments of the terrorists shells , which is why strongly supported its restoration and maintenance” Chairwoman of “Beit Al Safina”, Rima Absi, said in a statement to SANA reporter

The “Beit Al Safina”Association, which was founded in 1995 by Mrs. Rima Moussalli, aims to provide independence and psychological support for people with intellectual disabilities to be effective and confidently integrated into their society.

The ceremony of the end of the restoration works was attended by Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam, a number of ambassadors and the restoration team from the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums, and activists in the humanitarian field.
