Cuban President calls for halting foreign interference in Syria’s domestic affairs

New York, Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, called for halting foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs, reaffirming necessity for respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In his speech via video during the general debate of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, president Canel stressed the need to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria and to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict by ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territory and establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
