Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna asserted on Wednesday 31/8/2022 that the presidential initiative “Decent Life” is the biggest development project implemented worldwide, adding that the total cost of the different stages of the initiative will exceed one trillion pounds.
He made clear that thousands of projects will be implemented in different domains of importance to citizens in the countryside.
This came during an intervention of Amna in a session on “Decent Life” initiative on the sidelines of the regular meetings of the fourth round of the 8th specialized technical committee affiliated to the African Union on public services, local government, urban and non-central development in Cairo in the presence of Planning Minister Hala el Saeed.

“Decent Life” initiative aims at developing 4,584 villages in 20 governorates where 53% of Egyptian population is living, he said.
This project is the real project of the century in Egypt, Amna said, pointing out that after the implementation of the initiative, there will be a big improvement in the living conditions of citizens in the countryside and a decrease in poverty rates.
