Dubai: Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China's National Innovation Center par Excellence (NICE) to explore collaborative efforts in driving technology adoption and innovation. This partnership aims to enhance Dubai's role in industrial innovation, attract investment, and increase private sector involvement in research and development. According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed by Abdulaziz AlJaziri, Deputy CEO of DFF, and Dr. Qing Liu, Director of NICE, at the SuperBridge Summit 2024 in Dubai. The agreement sets the stage for collaboration in knowledge transfer, talent empowerment, competency retention, and mutual market access. This initiative is expected to provide vital research infrastructure for future industrial clusters, creating new growth opportunities in a knowledge-based, technology-driven economy. Abdulaziz AlJaziri highlighted the importance of international partnerships in supporting innovation and development. He stated that t he collaboration with NICE is a crucial step in shaping the future of innovation, emphasizing Dubai's commitment to creating an ecosystem that fosters talent and research, thereby positioning the city as a key player in global research and development. Dr. Qing Liu expressed satisfaction with the partnership, noting that it strengthens the research and development-as-an-industry model in Dubai. He acknowledged Dubai and the UAE's potential to become a global innovation hub, citing cultural openness, pro-business policies, and available capital as key enablers of growth.
