Druze Sheikh Al-Akl, Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, condemned in a statement this afternoon, the burning of a copy of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden, denouncing “this blatant racist encroachment on the heavenly religions, to fan hostility and fuel strife between sects and peoples and spread the spirit of division, hatred and discord.” He considered such an act as ‘totally unacceptable’ and that ‘the concerned country that permitted the demonstration is held responsible for repeating these unacceptable violations, at a time when the world needs political, economic and social stability.”
