DUBAI: Valerio Soldani, the Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE and Director of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) office, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, said that the Dubai International Boat Show is a key platform for Italian exhibitors to showcase their “Made in Italy” products and strengthen trade ties with the UAE. The ITA supports this by providing a pavilion for Italian companies to present their latest innovations.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Soldani said that Italian companies are showcasing “Made in Italy” excellence to over 30,000 visitors, solidifying Dubai’s status as a key regional hub and leading business platform. They highlight their enduring quality and craftsmanship while adapting to modern trends, reflecting their pride in the “Made in Italy” brand.

Marine exports

The Trade Commissioner explained that Italy boasts a strong position in global boat exports, reaching pound 110.2 million to the UAE in 2023 and securing the third-largest exporter ranking worldwide
. This success stems from their commitment to strict manufacturing standards, generational knowledge, and continuous innovation, resulting in top-notch mechanics, technology, design, and components, making them key players in the international market and a major trading partner for the UAE.

Sustainability in Italy

He stated that Italian boat companies at the Dubai International Boat Show are emphasising sustainability, showcasing innovative eco-friendly materials alongside high-quality products. This shift reflects not only market trends but also a growing industry-wide commitment to environmental responsibility.

Soldani said that Italian yacht builders, a global leader in both sustainability and customization, are embracing eco-friendly materials and technology to meet consumer demands and shape the future of the industry. This innovative approach ensures safety, comfort, and unique experiences on board, solidifying Italy’s position as the second-largest yacht producer in the world.
