Dubai to Host 9th MEIDAM Congress with Global Participation

DUBAI: The ninth International Congress of Medical Excellence in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine (MEIDAM 2024) is set to convene from November 15 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, welcoming dermatologists and medical professionals from over 85 countries. This year, for the first time, representatives from major international dermatological societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Society of Dermatology and Venereology, will participate, alongside regional organizations from the MENA region and SAARC countries. According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Khaled Al Nuaimi, President of MEIDAM Congress and the MEIDAM Association, expressed pride in the congress's evolution into a key gathering for professionals and innovators in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. He highlighted the goal of not only fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration but also expanding the event globally, with plans to host a similar gathering in Morocco next May. Dr. Saad Al Sogair, Secretary Gen eral, Treasurer, and Head of Executive Committee of MEIDAM Congress, emphasized the focus on scaling success and building a foundation for future international expansions. The congress will address various specialized fields, including general dermatological diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, and neglected tropical diseases, among others. The event will feature 81 sessions and specialized workshops across eight scientific streams, offering up to 105 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits accredited by the Dubai Health Authority. Over 275 scientific lectures will be presented, highlighting the latest research and findings. Additionally, an exhibition will showcase cutting-edge materials and technology, with participation from more than 82 leading companies, including international pharmaceutical and dermatological brands.
