Egypt bourse gains EGP 31.4 billion in August

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes posted collective gains during August’s trading.The gains were prompted by strong purchases of Egyptian investors.

 

The market capital gained EGP 31.4 billion to reach EGP 733 billion, recording an increase of 4.5%.

 

The main index of the bourse EGX 30 increased by 3.74 percent to stand at 1,1143.80 points.

 

The EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased by 6.51 percent to stand at 2,943.57 points.

 

The all-embracing EGX 100 index went up by about 5.47 percent to settle at 3,946.65 points.
