State Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram has said that Egypt Can with Industry Conference brings together the Egyptian migrants to benefit from their expertise.
The minister made the remarks Tuesday morning during the official opening of Egypt Can with Industry Conference, the sixth edition of “Egypt Can” conferences, organized by the Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Ministry under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and a number of ministers, officials, MPs, senators and businessmen attending.
Makram added that Egyptians abroad have won seats in the parliament for the first time.
Second and third generations of the Egyptian expatriates received great attention from their homeland, she said, highlighting the awareness- raising campaigns organized for them by her ministry as well as the great importance attached by the State to the Egyptians expats affected by the Russia-Ukraine war.
She hailed cooperation with Africa in addition to Egypt’s hosting of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 27), noting that two sessions of the conference will be dedicated to these issues as per directives from the political leadership.
She paid tribute to the martyrs of the Armed Forces and police who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland.
