Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Megahed said on Monday that Egypt and China are keen on developing relations in all fields, particularly in technical education.
The official made the remarks during a visit paid by Chinese Ambassador in Cairo Liao Liqiang to a technical education school in Cairo’s Nasr City.
Megahed said the visit comes as part of a cooperation protocol to set up a workshop at the technical education school in cooperation with the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission.
The workshop will adopt learning methods based on the development of engineering innovation and preparation for participating in regional and international competitions in the fields of metalworking technology and car maintenance, he said.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador said his visit to the technical education school highlights the strength of Egyptian-Chinese cooperation and reflects deeply-rooted relations between the two countries.
He added that the workshop will provide training courses for Egyptian youth to hone their skills in the field of applied technology.
