Egypt, DRC discuss progress in joint projects

Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Ati discussed on Tuesday 29/3/2022 with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development of the DRC Eve Bazaiba Masudi projects which are now underway between the two countries.

During the meeting, Abdel Ati said that the Congolese minister’s visit to Egypt comes as part of the exchanged visits between the two countries as well as the close ties binding Egypt and the DRC.

The Congolese minister, for her part, underlined the depth of cooperation ties binding the two countries, expressing her aspiration to increase the volume of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The meeting, meanwhile, reviewed the workflow in the technical cooperation protocol that was signed between the two countries, under which several development projects will be implemented in the DRC, including establishing a multi-purpose hydroelectric power plants along with exchanging expertise in spheres of agriculture and irrigation.
