Minister of Public Business Sector Mahmoud Esmat has shed light on the strength of relations and cooperation binding Egypt and France.
During a meeting Monday with French Ambassador in Cairo Marc Baréty to discuss joint cooperation, the minister said that Egypt looks forward to expanding cooperation with France in the economic and investment domains.
He added that his ministry seeks to boost partnership with the private sector and attract foreign investments in many fields including industrial and economic domains.
Esmat pointed out to investment incentives offered by the Egyptian government to industrial projects and measures to pave the way for new investments in various domains, saying that Egypt enjoys a distinguished geographic location and trade agreements with many world countries.
They reviewed investment chances in projects run by the ministry including the Aluminum Complex of Egypt in in Nagaa Hammady, Upper Egypt, as well as the establishment of a new aluminum factory in Safaga, projects of green ammonia fertilizer and electric vehicles in light of the world approach to use clean energy.
For his part, the French Ambassador congratulated Egypt on the success of the distinguished organization of the Sharm El Sheikh COP27 climate change conference which was attended by French president Emmanuel Macron who had talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the sidelines of the summit.
The French envoy expressed the keenness of French companies to expand the volume of investments in Egypt and promoting relations between the two countries in various domains.
