Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar received on Monday Swiss Ambassador in Cairo Yvonne Baumann to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.
Official spokesman for the Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the meeting dealt with means to expand horizons of cooperation between the two countries in building smart hospitals, production of medicine and medical equipment and construction of blood banks as well as initiatives to eliminate hepatitis-C and support the health of women.
According to the spokesman, the two sides discussed cooperation between the two sides to get rid of dangerous waste as part efforts to turn a number of hospitals into green and eco- friendly ones.
