Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his British counterpart James Cleverly agreed on continuing coordination and talks to resolve the Sudanese crisis.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry noted that Shoukry affirmed in a phone call with Cleverly the need to consider the current situation in Sudan as an internal affair, calling for further regional and international efforts to resolve the issue peacefully.

On his part, Cleverly expressed deep concern over the escalation and the deteriorating security conditions in Sudan.
