Local Development Minister Mahmod Shaarawy has lauded good coordination between the ministry and the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) during the past period.
The minister made his remarks on Saturday 06/08/2022 when he received Rania Hedeya, Country Program Manager of the UN-Habitat Egypt office, in the presence of a host of senior officials to follow up on issues of bilateral cooperation.
The ministry cooperates with all international partners to realize local development goals in different domains and share expertise to provide better services for citizens nationwide, Shaarawy said.
The meeting also reviewed arrangements for hosting the 12th session of the World Urban Forum, to be held in Cairo in 2024.
For her part, Hedeya stressed that the UN-Habitat is keen to offer necessary support and cooperate with the Local Development Ministry in rendering the forum a success.
