The Health and Population Ministry said Saturday 21/05/2022 that the average daily new coronavirus cases stood at five during the past week.
On average, two deaths were registered every day throughout the week, it also said.
In a statement, Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the daily average of recoveries recorded 23, bringing the total number of recoveries to 445,591.
The total number of vaccinated people hit 34,874,799, he added.
