Egypt’s El Sewedy Electrometer to build factory in Benin

Egypt’s El Sewedy Electrometer has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Beninese government to build a factory for manufacturing smart electrometers in Benin.

 

Egypt’s Ambassador in Cotonou Amal Afifi attended the signing ceremony, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its Facebook account on Friday 03/12/2021.

 

The ambassador stressed Egypt’s keenness on promoting economic cooperation with Benin in a way that serves the joint interests of the two countries, the statement added.

 

She pointed out to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to back the path of development in Africa and provide all forms of support for the Egyptian companies operating in the continent.

 

For his part, Beninese Finance and Economy Minister Romuald Wadagni expressed his appreciation of the distinguished ties between Egypt and Benin.

 

The minister said that he is looking forward to further developing joint cooperation, lauding the efficiency and performance of the Egyptian companies.
