Emirates Health Services (EHS) is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and becoming a sustainability pioneer. To achieve this, EHS has implemented sustainable projects across its various health facilities and adopted best practices to preserve resources for future generations.

Emirates Health Services understands the significance of sustainability for the environment and society. As a result, it strives to attain a balance between fulfilling the needs of the community and safeguarding resources for future generations. EHS supports sustainability plans and projects, and implements initiatives to enhance resource efficiency, minimise waste, and reduce environmental impact.

EHS is also committed to developing and implementing sustainable practices across various aspects of work which is a key priority, such as using energy and water efficiently and managing waste sustainably.

EHS is dedicated to fostering sustainable behaviour among its employees, patients, and the public to achieve health and well-bei
ng goals that align with the Sustainable Development Goals. It seeks to raise awareness about the significance of protecting the environment and encourage sustainable practices by providing innovative solutions that preserve the environment and reduce carbon emissions.EHS also aims to develop new technologies and methods for managing resources, enhancing sustainability, and improving services.

High-quality Sustainable Projects

One of EHS’ specific initiatives that aims to reduce carbon emissions and preserve the environment from pollution is increasing the number of hybrid and eco-friendly cars. As part of this project, the EHS has recently added 23 eco-friendly cars to its facilities.

Emirates Health Services’ hospitals will have green parking for electric cars, as well as provide bicycle and community parking in all its facilities. The objective is to promote the use of electric cars among employees and EHS visitors, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and preserving the environment. These initiatives ali
gn with the UAE’s leadership’s priority to uphold sustainability.

EHS is committed to improving the environment through various practices and initiatives, while closely monitoring their environmental impact. It aims to implement international green building standards across all stages of construction, including new construction, interior fit-outs, operations, and maintenance.

EHS’ headquarters has been recognised for its efforts and commitment towards environmental issues and has been awarded the ISO certificate for environmental management. This aligns with the sustainability goals and its efforts to raise environmental standards through various initiatives, practices, and monitoring of environmental impact.

EHS has launched and implemented over 15 projects. Every project aims to attain sustainability goals, as EHS is committed to investing in sustainability to secure a green future and conserve natural resources for future generations.
