Emirati and Chinese officials launch strategic police dialogue between the two countries

ABU DHABI: H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, extended a warm welcome to Wang Xiaohong, State Counselor and Minister of Public Security of China, along with the accompanying delegation on an official visit to the country.

The H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed engaged in discussions with his esteemed counterpart on various shared topics concerning the existing cooperation between the two countries in all fields and ways to enhance these bilateral relations, particularly in security and law enforcement.

Subsequently, the minister chaired the Emirati side in an expanded meeting with the visiting Chinese delegation, which was led by the Chinese Minister of Public Security. During the meeting, the strategic police dialogue was initiated between the two countries within their existing strategic cooperation across all fields, aiming to deepen relations and broaden the exchange of experiences and knowledge in combating cross-border crime, cyber
crime, and organised crime, as well as exchanging best practices in policing.

Representing the Emirati side were Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, Major General Salem Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director General of Smart Services and Digital Security, and Brigadier Dr. Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director General of Strategy and Performance Development, alongside several Ministry officers.

On the Chinese side, Zhang Yiming, Chinese Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Sun Guangyu, Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council of China, Xiu Da Tong, Deputy Minister of Public Security of China, and Hu Da Peng, Director-General of the General Court of China, were present. Also attending from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security were Hu Bin Chen, Director-General of the International Coo
peration Department, Liu Zhongyi, Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department, Tan Xue, Director-General of the Network Security Department, and several officials from the accompanying delegation.
