Eng. Makhlouf visits Emirati, Iranian, Russian and Syrian pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai

Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf, during his participation in the Climate Week meetings held in Dubai, visited on Tuesday the Emirati, Iranian and Russian and Syrian pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Eng. Makhlouf toured the pavilions’ sections and was briefed on the various artistic and cultural exhibits in them.

Makhlouf said that Expo 2020 Dubai is an important cultural, social and economic event at the regional level and a reflection of the civilizations of many participating countries.

During his participation in the Climate Week held in Dubai, Eng. Makhlouf discussed with Director and Regional Director and Representative of the United Nations Environment Program for West Asia (UNEP) Sami Dimassi, fields of joint bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance it to confront climate change.

Ministry of Local Administration and Environment signed a memo of understanding the Regional Office for West Asia of UN Environment Program to frame cooperation between the two sides.
