ERC opens humanitarian service point in Poland to help Egyptians fleeing Ukraine

The international relief team of the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) opened the first relief service point at a crossing point in Poland under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to help bring nationals fleeing Ukraine home.

The Social Solidarity Ministry said in a statement Friday 18/03/2022 that the service point is part of its cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and the Egyptian embassy in Poland as well as the Polish Red Crescent and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent.

The service point aims to facilitate the return of nationals and provide free logistic services, in addition to contacting the nationals’ families to ensure their safety, the note added.
