The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Joseph Borrell, Sunday announced that the leaders of Serbia and Kosovo have agreed on how to implement a deal mediated by the EU to normalise relations after more than two decades of the war’s end between the two countries. According to the Italian agency AKI, Borrell said in a statement, “We welcome the agreement of the two parties to implement the deal to normalise relations between them, which is expected to become an integral part of the accession processes of Kosovo and Serbia to the EU.” Borrell described the two parties’ agreement to implement the 11-point deal, including the agreement to fully implement the commitments in previous dialogue agreements, as a “great achievement.”
