Brussels — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, spoke with Josep Borrell, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Policy, and Security, in a phone call on Monday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the call was part of ongoing consultations and coordination to enhance efforts to end the war in Gaza, protect civilians, and ensure adherence to international law and humanitarian standards. The two also discussed the need for urgent humanitarian aid for Gaza. Safadi stated that the continued conflict in Gaza constitutes a humanitarian disaster that poses significant risks to the security of the entire region.
