President of the City Council of El Mahalla El Kubra, Gharbia, Wagdi El Gerwany said the city’s mills and silos received nearly 61,000 tons of wheat from local wheat farmers over the past three months, which is 100 percent of the target amount.
In press statements on Sunday, Gerwany thanked local wheat farmers for their cooperation.
The government provided many advantages and facilitations for farmers during this season, such as increasing the number of wheat delivery points and making sure they are close to wheat suppliers, and offering additional incentives to wheat farmers in order to encourage them to deliver more of their harvest.
