H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Nation), Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), witnessed the official ceremony of the UAE’s 52nd Union Day, which was held in Expo City Dubai.
Witnessing the ceremony alongside Sheikha Fatima were Queen Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Malaysia, Princess Lalla Hasna, Sister to King Mohammed VI of Morocco, and a number of Sheikhas.
The official presentation of the 52nd Union Day highlighted the inspiring story of the Union and the UAE’s sustainable journey since its formation in 1971.
In line with COP28 and the Year of Sustainability, innovative techniques and distinctive displays were used in the show, embodying the UAE’s rich heritage that connects the essence of unity and sustainability throughout history.
