The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Statistics Korea (KOSTAT), Korea’s official national statistical organisation, to enhance their joint efforts to develop and implement statistics, information sciences and exchange of expertise programmes. The MoU was signed during a meeting held between their representatives on the sidelines of the 54th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC) in New York. Hanan Mansour Ahli, Director of FCSC, who heads the Emirati delegation at UNSC meetings, and Commissioner Dr. Han, Hoon of Statistics Korea, signed the MoU. ccording to the MoU, the two sides will strengthen their cooperation to develop statistics related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the “Korean Statistics Studies Centre.” They will also produce gender-related statistical information. The FCSC will supply the Korean side with interactive platforms on foreign trade data, which will include detailed information on Korean companies in the UAE. Tariq Al Fahaam
